bowserScott Bowser, O.D.

Dr. Bowser is the senior member of the Peachtree City Eye Center team.  He joined the Eye Center in July, 1977 and has become a permanent part of many of the families who have enjoyed sharing their lives and families with him over the past three decades.

Dr. Bowser was raised with the values of the heartland, growing up in Springfield, Ohio. He attended the University of Cincinnati and Ohio University. His B.S. degree was in Zoology. He went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1977. He then joined the practice of Dr. Engram in Peachtree City.

During his years in practice, Dr. Bowser has aggressively continued his  education.  He attends a large number of continuing education classes each year. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and a charter member of the AOA’s contact lens section.  He is a past district president and current member of the Georgia Optometric Association, past president of the Rotary Club of Peachtree City and an active member of the Apostle’s Lutheran church, where he was a Sunday school instructor. In 1995, Dr. Bowser was selected for Who’s Who of Professionals for 1995.

During the past 30 years, Dr. Bowser has worked closely with the eye surgery practices of Dr. F. Davis, Dr. Daniel Hennessey and, since 1988, with James C. Hays, M.D.  Dr. Bowser looks forward to caring for the next generation of Peachtree City families!

Blog pic 12Kyle Edwards, O.D.

Dr. Kyle Edwards provides comprehensive vision care including routine eye examinations for fitting glasses and contact lenses, diagnosis  and treatment of eye disease, LASIK and Cataract surgical co-management, dry eye treatment, and Glaucoma patient management. Dr. Edwards is currently a member of good standing in the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association.

Dr. Edwards grew up in Central Florida near Orlando. Dr. Edwards received his Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He also earned his Doctorate of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. While at NSU, Dr. Edwards rotated through various internships/externships  emphasizing primary care optometry, ocular disease, surgical co-management, vision therapy, and low vision specialties.

In his free time, Dr. Edwards enjoys golfing, grilling outside, watching SEC football, involvement in the local Christian church community, and spending time with his wife Annie.  Dr. Edwards is also a member of the young professionals of Fayette County, and the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce.

haysJames Hays, M.D.

Specialities:
Cataract Surgery, Corneal Surgery, Refractive Surgery

A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Dr. Hays earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Hays completed both his internship and residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Hays completed his Corneal Fellowship at the prestigious Dean A McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Dr. Hays was founder of the Atlanta Eye Surgery Group, which merged with Omni Eye Services in 2001. He specializes in cataract and corneal surgery.  He is available to see patients at Peachtree City Eye Center two Thursdays a month in a primary patient care setting.  Dr. Hays has recently joined Woolfson Eye Institute in Atlanta where his expertise and skill in cataract, corneal, and refractive surgery will add to one of the premier eye institutes in the southeast.

Opticians

brenda_2007Brenda Watkins

A true Georgia native, Brenda grew up in Fairburn.  She moved to Peachtree City 35 years ago. Brenda joined the Eye Center in 1976.

She is a certified optometric assistant and a member of the American Optometric Association.

Although now working on a part time basis, Brenda’s experience, skills and friendly smile make her a favorite of the  Eye Center’s patients.

Office Staff

kelleyKelley Lambert, LDO, COA, NCLE – Practice Manager

Kelley joined the eye center in May of 2009.  Kelley has more than 25 years of experience in the Optical Industry.  Kelley oversees practice management functions pertaining to Peachtree City Eye Center.

She is proficient in performing refractions, as well as fitting patients in eyeglasses, contact lenses, and all other optical duties.  Kelley is also the Lasik coordinator for the practice and is happy to answer any and all questions on this process.

Kelley is a native of Florida, moved to Fayette County in 2004, and now lives in Newnan.  She enjoys playing golf, watching SEC football, and being an active member of her community.

kay_2007Kay Carroll – Back Office Manager

A native of Atlanta, Kay relocated to Peachtree City in 1972. She has been with the Eye Center since 1979 and is currently the back office manager and unofficial office historian.

Kay became an American Optometric Association certified ophthalmic assistant in 1990. She continually improves her knowledge with ongoing continuing education courses.

As administrator Kay performs far too many duties to list.  On those rare occasions that she is not working, she can be seen around her home in the Summergrove area of Newnan with her husband Jim and their grandchildren.

Alda became a member of the Eyecenter staff in 2003. She is a native of Scranton Pennsylvania, and she has worked in the optical field in both Maryland and Tampa Florida for the last 15 years.

Alda works in administration and performs numerous responsibilities in the front office.

As a resident of Peachtree City, she enjoys walking the golf cart paths with husband Jim and daughter Abby.

A native of Peachtree City, Laura “grew up” at the Eye Center where her mother, Kay, has worked since Laura was a year old.

Laura has been an employee of the Eye Center since 1997. She performs invaluable service keeping our insurance claims in order and also works at the front desk several days per week.

She lives in Senoia, Georgia with her two children and husband Brad.

Deborah is a native of Chicago. She has worked in the eye care industry for over 25 years. She relocated to Newnan, Georgia in 2007.

She joined the eye center in June 2008 and has quickly formed a bond with the patients. Her duties at the eye center include pre-examination, special testing, as well as, working at the front desk.

She lives in the Summergrove area of Newnan with her husband and two daughters.

Edna is a native of the island of Puerto Rico. She has worked in the eye care industry in the states of Florida and Georgia for over 20 years.

She has extensive experience in patient care such as pre-examination, special testing, optical and contact lenses. She is bilingual, fluent in Spanish.

She lives in Locust Grove, Georgia with her husband and 2 daughters. Edna looks forward to serving all of your eye care needs.

Chelsea Blankinship (Photo coming soon) 

Chelsea was born and raised in South Carolina.  She moved to Georgia 10 years ago, and currently resides in Senoia, Ga with her husband Josh and daughter Jadyn.  Chelsea has been working in the eye care and optical field for two years.  She enjoys the challenge of meeting individual patient needs and has been a quick study since arriving at the eye center.
